About
Franziska Link is an award winning adventure sport & travel DP and Director. Her unstoppable desire to create memorable images and immersive stories has taken her to over 77 countries - from crossing Southern Africa with a surfboard to embarking on a rally from Germany to Mongolia. Franziska is one of the very few humans who paraglided off Mount Kilimanjaro's summit of close to 6000m on assignment for shooting a film.
Confident in extreme environments Franziska captures the human endeavour to push beyond perceived limits on the backdrop of nature's rhythm. Her passion for the ocean has taken Franziska to the physical and spiritual depth of free-diving, the power and purity of surfing and the vastness of sailing the open ocean. Encouraged by the romance of the unusual Franziska's images capture the emotions of the moment to inspire the audience to think differently and push their own boundaries a step further.
She became the resident film maker on a 40 foot catamaran exploring the globe on a free diving, surfing and sailing mission. Franziska's photography and films have been published world wide through National Geographic, Surfing World, Qantas, Arte, Netflix, HR Germany, Red Bull among many others.
Franziska established Flying Fox Films in 2009, a production company with the focus on shooting TV Documentaries and commercial content. Her love for film technology, thirst for adventure, and creativity melt together in the quest of telling a unique story.
